The project’s goal was to transform the existing dwelling, including its side extension and garage, into an independent semi-attached residence with three bedrooms spread across two stories. Located adjacent to 04 Court Drive in the Hillingdon area of London, the proposed dwelling aims to enrich the local area while adhering to a design scheme reminiscent of traditional developments in the vicinity. The strategic use of various materials is intended to elevate the construction’s quality and ensure architectural appeal, adding depth and dimension to the structure. The layout of the plot and the positioning of the dwelling closely resemble those of neighboring properties on Court Drive, with the intention of seamlessly blending into the streetscape. Internally, the layout emphasizes privacy for occupants and neighbors while providing a satisfactory level of amenities. The ground floor encompasses a kitchen, reception area, cloakroom, and living spaces, while the upper floor is reserved for sleeping quarters and bathroom facilities.

Project requirement
The proposal is made to replace the existing side extension and garage into a two-storey detached single dwelling with three bedrooms.The new dwelling is planned to the south of the existing dwelling space and separated by 1100 mm wide clear alleyway. The side boundary on the west is also proposed 850 mm away from the neighboring structure. The layout of the plot and the position of the dwelling is very similar to its neighbours on Court Drive, it has been designed to appear as an extension to the street. The proposals have been designed with community safety in mind offering a well supervised and secure environment. It will clearly define the private from the public and will provide a safe family home.
