53 Goldhawk Road
Designing well-illuminated and properly ventilated residences in limited residential spaces is a formidable task that requires meticulous planning and thorough simulations of daylight and sunlight. A prime illustration of the intricacy involved in this challenge can be found in our project at 53 Goldhawk Road, which was undertaken in collaboration with our esteemed UK team. In this endeavor, our focus extended beyond conventional architectural practices. We delved into detailed analysis and simulations to ensure that each living space was optimally lit and ventilated, even within the constraints of the limited area. This project serves as a testament to our commitment to overcoming spatial limitations and creating living environments that prioritize both natural light and air circulation, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for the residents.

Project requirement
As our city continues to expand, an influx of housing schemes is causing a surge in population. Due to haphazard space allocation and construction, certain buildings find themselves wedged between towering structures, resulting in restricted ventilation and sunlight access. Daylight and sunlight assessment tools offer a simulation-driven approach to evaluate sunlight accessibility. This resource facilitates strategic urban planning, allowing for the thoughtful design of housing schemes in various areas, prioritizing ample natural light and ventilation for all residents.
Our Proposal
Planning drawing & 3D massing
Urban Front, as a professional body, conducts comprehensive daylight and sunlight assessments to optimize home planning. Urban Front’s experts employ advanced computer modeling and simulations to predict how natural light will interact with a building and its surroundings. These assessments inform critical decisions regarding window placement, roof design, and building orientation. By achieving a balanced distribution of natural light, Urban Front ensures homes are not only energy-efficient but also provide residents with healthier and more pleasant living spaces. This approach integrates aesthetics and sustainability, reducing electricity consumption and promoting overall well-being.
