Urban Front was given the responsibility to design a senior secondary school with a strong focus on adhering to the guidelines and standards set by the CBSE board. The client’s vision was centered on revitalizing the school’s layout and its overall surroundings. In response to this vision, we painstakingly crafted intricate structural and architectural models. These models were intended to serve as the foundation for constructing a campus that not only excels in earthquake resistance but also places a high emphasis on providing ample natural light and ventilation. Our approach was not only to meet the regulatory requirements but to enhance the learning environment, ensuring that the school is a safe and inspiring place for students. This project represents our commitment to both compliance and the enhancement of the educational experience.

Project requirement
The design phase of the Hasanpur school project was successfully concluded in 2023, and the project has now entered the construction phase. This forthcoming educational institution is situated amidst the peaceful ambiance of a mango farm, positioned on the outskirts of the vibrant town of Hasanpur, approximately 120 kilometers away from New Delhi. This school project is a testament to the seamless integration of contemporary educational facilities within a serene, natural setting, promising a distinctive and motivating learning experience for students.

First and foremost, CBSE guidelines were followed for classroom sizes, ensuring that each learning space met the recommended dimensions to accommodate students comfortably. Adequate classroom ventilation and natural light were ensured, aligning with CBSE standards that emphasize a conducive learning environment. We also adhered to the norms pertaining to the provision of clean and safe drinking water facilities for students and staff. Moreover, the school layout was designed to provide separate spaces for various activities, in accordance with CBSE guidelines for multifunctional facilities. In addition, the project had to contend with the challenges of a difficult terrain susceptible to seismic activity. To address this, our structural design focused on earthquake-resistant construction. Reinforced foundations, flexible materials, and innovative structural engineering were employed to ensure the school’s stability and safety during seismic events.
